Project Overview
The Government of Sindh, through the School Education & Literacy Department, is implementing the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project (SSEIP) with assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) requires consultancy services for various roles.Position Summary
SSEIP is seeking a qualified Chief Financial Management Specialist (National, 24 Person-Months, full-time) based in Karachi. The specialist will play a key role in the financial oversight of the project.Scope of Work
Assist and provide support to the Project Director, Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, and Project Finance team in the overall financial management and accounting matters of the PIU, SSEIP.Qualifications and Experience
- An internationally recognized university degree in accounting and/or financial management / finance or related field, preferably with a graduate degree or advanced training in financial management or equivalent.
- Sound understanding of ADB's Financial Management System and Analysis of Projects.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English are essential.
- Preferably 10 years of experience in financial management, particularly in managing and maintaining financial management systems for projects and programs in Pakistan (preference for Sindh Province).
- Experience working on projects financed by ADB and/or other multi-lateral development banks (MDBs) or international financial institutions is essential.
- Minimum General Experience: 10 Years.
- Minimum Specific Experience (relevant to assignment): 10 Years.
