Organization Overview

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) is Pakistan's leading integrated natural gas utility, majority-owned by the Government of Pakistan. The company is engaged in the transmission and distribution of natural gas across Sindh and Balochistan, operating extensive pipeline networks and serving millions of customers. SSGC also runs South East Asia's only meter manufacturing plant.

Role Summary

The Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director (CEO/MD) will serve as the chief executive responsible for the strategic direction, operational efficiency, financial performance, and overall success of SSGCL. The supreme responsibility involves meticulously steering the organization towards its fundamental philosophy, resolute vision, and strategic objectives. The role demands crafting and implementing a dynamic strategic blueprint, augmenting revenue, bolstering profitability, fostering growth, managing transformation, and ensuring accountability directly to the Board.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company's strategic planning and execution.
• Oversee operational efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective resource management.
• Ensure robust financial performance and sustainable growth.
• Implement best practices in Corporate Governance, risk management, and HSEQA.
• Manage stakeholder relations and build strong relationships.
• Lead organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
• Represent SSGC and uphold its public image and reputation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Graduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Energy Management, Engineering Management, Finance or Accountancy or Business Administration or Law from a reputable university/institution recognized/accredited by HEC. Preference will be given to post-graduates.
• Experience: A minimum of 20 years' (post qualification) experience in large organizations with a minimum of 5 years work experience in a C Suite position.
• Proven track record and demonstrated strategic leadership capabilities with substantial qualifications.
• Technical expertise, business acumen; knowledge of the oil and gas sector is an added advantage.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Impeccable integrity and reputation.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must not be more than 62 years old on the closing date of the advertisement.
• Successful candidates shall be appointed in accordance with the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, State-Owned Enterprises (C-Level Appointments) Guidelines 2024, The State-Owned Enterprises (Ownership and Management) Policy, 2023 and must fulfill the laid down fit and proper criteria.
