About PBIT

Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), the premier investment promotion agency of the Government of Punjab, is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and result-oriented professional to lead the organization as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). PBIT is mandated to promote Punjab as the preferred destination for domestic and foreign investment, facilitate trade, and foster public-private partnerships. As the strategic arm of the Government of Punjab, PBIT plays a critical role in driving economic development through investment facilitation, business reforms, and sectoral promotion.

Position Details

• Position Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Location: Lahore, Pakistan
• Tenure: Three (03) years (extendable based on performance and approval of the Board)
• Remuneration: Market-based and negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision to PBIT in line with its mandate.
• Develop and implement policies, programs, and partnerships to promote investment and trade in Punjab.
• Foster linkages with domestic and international investors, chambers, development agencies, and relevant government bodies.
• Ensure operational excellence, financial sustainability, and compliance with governance frameworks.
• Represent PBIT at national and international forums to showcase Punjab's investment potential.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Minimum 16 years of education from a reputed and HEC-recognized national or international institution in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Finance, Law, International Relations, or a related field. Master's degree holders shall be given preference.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role in the public or private sector. Demonstrated expertise in investment promotion, trade facilitation, economic development, or business reforms will be an advantage.
Age: Maximum 62 years at the time of application.

Required Competencies

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic planning, business acumen, and policy advocacy
• Familiarity with public sector governance and regulatory frameworks
• Proven track record in leading high-performance teams and organizations
