The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Health Department, through its Project Management and Implementation Unit (PMIU), is announcing job opportunities for the position of Bio-Medical Technician (BPS-16). This role is part of a significant initiative focused on the Revamping of Non-Teaching DHQ Hospitals throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The successful candidate will be engaged on a contractual basis for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs and performance. This position is crucial for the effective procurement, maintenance, and management of medical equipment within the healthcare facilities.Qualifications and Experience
Applicants for the Bio-Medical Technician role must possess a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronic Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience is required in the procurement or management of Bio-medical Equipment within either the public or private sector. Furthermore, all candidates must hold a valid license from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) to qualify. This ensures that the selected technicians have both the foundational knowledge and the practical skills necessary to perform their duties effectively.Terms and Conditions
Candidates must be eligible and possess domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The appointment will be on a contract basis for an initial term of one year, with potential for extension as per prevalent government policy. A lump sum pay package will be provided where applicable. Shortlisted candidates will be issued interview calls. Incomplete applications will not be entertained, and age relaxation will be applied according to existing government rules. Individuals currently employed in government or semi-government sectors must route their applications through the appropriate official channels. To apply, interested individuals should visit the ETEA website at www.etea.edu.pk for online application submission. Upon entering personal details, an online deposit slip containing a unique token number and project code will be generated. This slip must be printed, and the non-refundable test fee should be deposited using the Easy-Paisa app, Jazz Cash App, or at any UBL bank via an OMNI agent. Candidates must securely keep the original stamped deposit slip; no documents should be sent to the ETEA office at this stage. Only those who qualify the screening test will be asked to provide copies of their testimonials for scrutiny. The online application facility will be available from 01 September, 2025, and the final date for submission is 20 September, 2025. Information regarding test dates, times, and venues will be provided on the Roll No. Slip, which can be downloaded from the ETEA website after an SMS notification.
