Associate Software Engineer

Job Overview

The Finance Department, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, seeks two Associate Software Engineers (PPS-6) for the 'GB Automation and Digitization of Revenues' project. These positions are contract-based for three years and located in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Software Engineers will participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment of software applications. This includes developing web applications and mobile applications (iOS, Android), database integration, and software maintenance.

Qualifications

Education: BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology (minimum 16 years of education) from a recognized university/institution OR a 3-year Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution along with required experience.
Certifications: Certifications related to software development, web development, or mobile application development are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software development, gained in the government or private sector.

Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience in web application development.
• Experience in mobile application development (iOS/Android platforms).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Database management skills.
• Software testing and debugging skills.
