Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a BDS or equivalent dental qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC, coupled with post-graduate qualification such as MDS in the relevant specialty or other equivalent qualifications recognized by the PMDC/PMC.
Additionally, a minimum of five years of teaching experience in the relevant subject in a recognized institution as Assistant Professor, or an equivalent position, is required. This experience should be followed by a minimum of three research papers published in a standard dental/medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.
Teaching experience will be preferred, and credit will be given for original research work published in a standard medical/dental journal.
If the aforesaid qualifications are unavailable, candidates with a BDS or equivalent dental qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC, along with a post-graduate Minor Diploma qualification in the relevant subject as recognized by the PMDC/PMC, are eligible.
This must be accompanied by three years of relevant experience in the relevant subject as Demonstrator in a recognized institution. Credit will be granted for original research work published in a standard Medical/Dental Journal.
Alternatively, seven years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject is acceptable, provided it includes at least five research papers in a standard dental/medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.

General Application Guidelines

Important Note on Research Papers:
Only original articles published in book-form on or before the closing date will be considered. Review articles, case-studies/reports, translations, briefs, conference papers, and editorials are not accepted as published research papers. However, online published research work in a recognized foreign journal is acceptable, provided the journal(s) is duly indexed by PMDC/PMC/PubMed/Index Medicus/ExcerptaMedica/Embase. A recognition list of such journal(s) by PMDC/PMC is also required.
Experience Verification:
Experience gained in the Government Sector (Contract, Current Charge, Acting Charge, Ad-hoc basis) will only be accepted if it is issued by the Appointing/Competent Authority.
Experience on Ops/Designated basis (up to 17.06.2021, only), BOM (Board of Management), TTS (Tenure Track System/Status), and University Cadre will be considered if recognized and issued by PM&DC.
Experience from Foreign/Autonomous body/Private institutions will be accepted if recognized and issued by PM&DC.
