Associate Professor Optometry

Position Overview

Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, invites applications from dedicated Pakistani citizens (male/female) for the position of Associate Professor Optometry at the KMU Institute of Health Sciences (KMU-IHS) in Kohat. This is a senior academic role falling under BPS-20, offering a platform to contribute significantly to the field of Optometry through teaching and research within a leading public sector university.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Qualification: A Ph.D. in Optometry or a related relevant field from a university or institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
• Experience: Candidates need either:
  - 05 years of post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized university, postgraduate institution, OR professional experience in Optometry within a National or International organization.
  - OR 10 years of teaching or research experience (pre or post-PhD) in an HEC-recognized university, postgraduate institution, OR professional experience in Optometry within a National or International organization.
• Publications: A minimum of 10 research publications are required, with at least 4 of these published within the last 5 years in journals recognized by HEC/PM&DC.
