Assistant Professor Microbiology

Position Overview

Khyber Medical University (KMU) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Microbiology at its Institute of Health Sciences (KMU-IHS) campus in Mardan. This academic position is offered on a fixed pay basis, equivalent to BPS-19, and involves teaching and research responsibilities in the field of Microbiology.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following qualification and experience combinations:

• Option A (PhD):
  - Qualification: PhD in Microbiology or a relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution, or an equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by HEC.
  - Experience: No prior experience is required for PhD holders.
• Option B (M.Phil):
  - Qualification: M.Phil. or an equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in Microbiology or a relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
  - Experience: 4 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution, OR professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
• Publications: No minimum number of publications is required for this position.
