Job Description
PPSC is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Oncology at Sargodha Medical College. This is a contractual appointment for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension based on excellent performance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in teaching, guiding, and conducting research in the field of oncology, contributing significantly to medical education and patient care initiatives.Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the PMDC/PMC. Additionally, applicants are required to have an FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, or MD, or a Diploma of American Board in the respective Oncology specialty, from a PMDC/PMC recognized institute or university.An alternative qualification pathway includes an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification combined with an FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, or MD (General Surgery or Medicine) from a PMDC/PMC recognized institution, along with at least three years of post-graduation practical experience in the relevant specialty.
All candidates must possess a valid (full) Permanent Registration Certificate from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), issued on or before the application closing date. Only practical experience acquired after obtaining the prescribed qualification will be considered for eligibility.
Age, Gender, and Domicile
The age limit for male candidates is 25 to 50 years (including a 5-year general relaxation). For female candidates, the age limit is 25 to 53 years (including an 8-year general relaxation). Transgender persons are eligible to apply, and their age and sex will be determined based on their CNIC details. Applicants must hold a domicile certificate from any district within the Province of Punjab. The place of posting for this role is Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha.Application Process
