This is an open merit position for Professor of Biochemistry (BS-20) at Sargodha Medical College. The appointment is on a 3-year contract basis, with the potential for extension based on satisfactory performance. This role is crucial for academic and research excellence within the institution.Prescribed Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC)/Pakistan Medical Commission. Additionally, the following postgraduate qualifications in Biochemistry are required: D.Sc., Ph.D., M.D., M.Phil. (Pak), or equivalent qualifications recognized by the PMDC/PMC. Credit will be significantly given for original research work that has been published in a standard medical journal.Furthermore, applicants need 03 years of teaching experience in the subject as an Associate Professor, recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission/Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. The total teaching experience as an Assistant Professor must not be less than 08 years, or 09 years teaching experience as an Assistant/Associate Professor in a recognized institution, coupled with at least 5 research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as an Assistant/Associate Professor.
Age and Gender Requirements
For male candidates, the age limit is 35 to 55 years (35 to 50 years + 05 years general relaxation). For female candidates, the age limit is 35 to 58 years (35 to 50 years + 08 years general relaxation). The age and sex of transgender applicants will be determined based on the contents of their CNIC. This position is open to Male, Female, and Transgender individuals.Domicile and Place of Posting
Applicants must hold domicile on an All Punjab Basis. The place of posting for this position will be Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha.Important Notes
- A valid Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC)/Pakistan Medical Commission Registration is mandatory and must be current.
- Only relevant ORIGINAL ARTICLES published in recognized medical journals (PMDC/PMC/Pubmed/Index Medicus/ExcerptaMedica/Embase recognition list) will be accepted as published research papers. Publications in book-form, presentations at conferences, or editorials are not admissible.
- Experience gained in the Government Sector (Contract, Current Charge, Acting Charge, Ad-hoc basis) will only be accepted if officially issued by the Appointing/Competent Authority.
- Experience obtained on OPS / Designated basis is acceptable only up to 17.06.2021.
- Experience from Foreign/Autonomous body/Private institutions will be accepted only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC.
