Job Description

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor of ENT on a contractual basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated medical professional to contribute to medical education and patient care at Sargodha Medical College. The contract is initially for a period of three years, with potential for extension based on satisfactory performance. The role involves teaching, research, and clinical responsibilities within the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the PMDC/PMC. Additionally, candidates should hold an FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, or MD, or a Diploma of American Board in the respective ENT specialty, obtained from an institute or university recognized by the PMDC/PMC.
Alternatively, candidates with an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, along with FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, or MD (General Surgery or Medicine) from a PMDC/PMC recognized institution, and at least three years of post-graduation practical experience in the relevant specialty, will also be considered.
A crucial requirement for all applicants is a valid (full) Permanent Registration Certificate from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) issued on or before the closing date of application. Only practical experience gained after obtaining the prescribed qualification will be taken into account.

Age, Gender, and Domicile

For male candidates, the age limit is 25 to 50 years (25 to 45 years + 05 years general relaxation). For female candidates, the age limit is 25 to 53 years (25 to 45 years + 08 years general relaxation). Transgender individuals are also eligible, and their age and sex will be determined based on the contents of their CNIC. Applicants must be domiciled in any district of the Province of Punjab. The designated place of posting for this role is Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha.
