Assistant Executive Engineer Civil (BPS-17)

Position Overview

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), located in Thandi Sarak, Hyderabad, is inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer Civil (BPS-17) within the Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh. This recruitment drive aims to fill 47 vacancies allocated across different quotas.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a B.E. in Civil Engineering with at least a 2nd Division from a recognized University.
• Hold registration as a professional Engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Candidates with equivalent degrees may apply only when explicitly stated in the qualifications for the advertised posts.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age. General age relaxation is applicable as per government notification No. SOII(SGA&CD) 5-64/2011 (PART-II) dated 06-03-2025, except for Police Service and posts filled through Combined Competitive Examination via SPSC.

Quota Distribution (Total 47 Posts)

• Open Merit (Male/Female): 36 posts (Rural: 22, Urban: 14)
• Differently Abled Persons Quota: 02 posts (Rural: 01, Urban: 01)
• Minority Quota: 02 posts (Rural: 01, Urban: 01)
• Female Quota: 07 posts (Rural: 04, Urban: 03)

The number of posts is subject to variation.

Application Process

Online Application Only: Manual applications will not be entertained.
1. Visit the official SPSC website: www.spsc.gov.pk.
2. Initial registration through the SPSC official website is required.
3. After fulfilling formalities, candidates can apply through the 'Available Jobs' feature.
4. Fee Submission: Generate a PSID online before making the Challan payment of Rs. 1000/-. Payment can be made through any online payment channel by selecting the 1 Bill Invoice/Service option. For all categories of one post, one Challan is acceptable.
5. Ensure all information (Domicile, Age, Qualification, Experience, Centre, etc.) is entered correctly, as options once exercised cannot be changed later.
6. Candidates must possess the required qualifications and experience with relevant certificates by the closing date.
7. The online application feature will be available round the clock, except on the closing date (23-04-2025) when it will close at 05:00 PM (Office Hours).
8. Candidates serving in Government and Semi-Government Organizations must apply through the proper channel.

Important Notes

• Ineligible candidates or those submitting incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Experience is reckoned from the date of acquiring the minimum academic qualification required.
• The SPSC reserves the right to modify/correct any error at any stage.
• The prescribed syllabus for optional subjects can be downloaded from the SPSC official website.
