Position Overview

NADRA, a leading government organization in Pakistan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the role of Assistant Director (Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure). This pivotal position is based at NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad and is offered under a contractual agreement, initially for five years with potential for extension. The selected candidate will be instrumental in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust security, and overseeing critical backup and recovery operations within a dynamic and technologically advanced environment.

Educational Requirements

Candidates aspiring for the Assistant Director (Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure) role must possess a Bachelor's degree (4 Years) in a relevant field such as Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Security, Telecommunication, or Computer Science. This degree must represent 16 years of HEC verified education. While a Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, a Master's degree in a related field will be given preference during the selection process. All degrees must be attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or relevant regulatory bodies at the time of interview.

Professional Experience, Skills & Competencies

Applicants should demonstrate a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience specifically in cloud infrastructure or closely related roles. Key responsibilities will include administering and supporting various operating systems like Linux, Windows, and Unix to ensure optimal performance. The role requires proficiency in performing routine maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Candidates must also possess the ability to manage and optimize virtual environments using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. A professional certification in Linux and/or Virtualization will be considered a significant advantage.

In terms of skills and competencies, the ideal candidate will be adept at identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, recommending improvements, and conducting regular security assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Experience in overseeing backup and recovery operations, including data integrity checks and restoration testing, is essential. Familiarity with web servers, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and experience in shell scripting and automation using tools like Ansible/Chef will be highly valued.

Terms & Conditions for Employment

The selected candidate will be initially hired for a contract period of 5 years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs. NADRA reserves the right to accept or reject any application without providing a reason. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for test/interview. Any false information provided by a candidate will lead to immediate disqualification. Employees currently serving in Government/Semi-Government departments must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of application submission. A 5-year relaxation in age is already included in the maximum age limit of 37 years. Selected candidates are required to provide Medical Fitness and Character Certificates. No TA/DA will be admissible for tests or interviews. Attested degrees from HEC or relevant regulatory bodies are mandatory at the time of interview.
