About the Organization
The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is an independent quasi-regulatory, quasi-judicial body dedicated to foster competition in all spheres of economy. In alignment with commission’s requirements, CCP intends to seek the services of qualified individuals with hands-on experience for the following position.Position Overview
The Competition Commission of Pakistan is looking for two (02) Assistant Directors. The maximum age limit for this position is 35 years.Professional Credentials
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of competition laws and economic principles, coupled with strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills. He/She should exhibit a keen interest in regulatory compliance and possess the ability to interpret and apply complex legal and economic concepts. Also, the candidate should have the capacity to analyze market dynamics and assess potential anti-competitive behavior. Experienced candidates will be given preference.Qualification and Experience
Master's/Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Econometrics or related field with minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal and economic analysis to identify and assess potential anti-competitive practices in various markets.
- Assist in the initiation, planning, and execution of investigations into suspected violations of competition laws.
- Interpret and apply competition law provisions in conjunction with economic principles to evaluate market behavior and business practices.
- Draft legal and economic reports, case briefs, and policy recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, research, and enforcement departments on complex competition cases/issues.
- Any other task assigned by the Competent Authority.
General Terms and Conditions
- The appointment will be made on contract basis, for a period of two (02) years further extendable, subject to satisfactory performance.
- The candidate possessing the requisite qualification, experience and age may apply. Only shortlisted candidates based on qualification and experience will be called for the interview and no TA/DA will be given to the candidates to appear in the test/interview.
- General age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit would be granted as admissible under the rules.
- Government employees may apply through proper channel after getting NOC from the parent department.
