Role Overview

The Emergency Services Department (Rescue 1122), Government of the Punjab, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Assistant Controller Examinations (BPS-17) at their headquarters in Lahore. This role involves managing and overseeing examination processes within the department. It's a project-based contract position for an initial period of 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications (minimum 2nd division) from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC):

• MCS (Master of Computer Science)
• MS (IT) (Master of Science in Information Technology)
• BCS (4 Years) (Bachelor of Computer Science)

Additionally, candidates must have 2 years of relevant experience in academics or examinations within a Government or HEC-recognized private institution or testing service. The required age range for this position is 24 to 40 years.

Selection Procedure

The selection process involves several stages:
1. Online application via Central Testing Service (CTS).
2. Written & psychological tests, Physical tests, and Skill tests shall be held at designated places.
3. Display of qualifying candidate lists on CTS & ESD websites after each process.
4. Final interview shall be conducted at the Emergency Services Department Headquarters at Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore.
5. At the time of interview, candidates shall submit a medical report issued by the Government Teaching Hospital or DHQ Hospital regarding their physical examination (height, weight, chest, eyesight and physical deformities) and laboratory tests for Hepatitis B&C, HIV and RPR.

Terms and Conditions

Key terms include:

• Physical standards: Any person with vision less than 6/6 each eye (without glasses) and color blind, obesity with BMI 30 or above and Hepatitis B & C, HIV and RPR positive shall be shortlisted at any stage.
• Height/Chest: Preference will be given to the candidates with height more than 5.6', whereas minimum chest size will be 33'.
• Age Relaxation: No relaxation in age or qualification (Army/Civil). However, the employee of Emergency Services Department shall be given 5 years age relaxation in upper age limit only for administrative posts.
• Application Limit: Candidates are directed to apply only for one suitable post; however appropriate candidate may be adjusted against other suitable post on recommendation of the Recruitment Committee.
• Residency: Local residents as per CNIC will be given preference.
• Application Volume: In case of the large number of applicants, only applications with preferred/enhanced criteria shall be considered.
• Verification: Candidates have to justify their eligibility as per advertised criteria as all the documents are accepted provisionally and offer of appointment is subject to verification of documents, Police Verification, Successful completion of training and clearance by the medical board constituted by Government of the Punjab.
• Warning: The candidature/ selection/ appointment shall be cancelled at any stage of recruitment or training and even after appointment, in case any information is found to be missing, false or forged.

Download the application form and send it by post to Central Testing Service. The deadline for online application submission and receiving application forms by post is 05 May, 2025. Only completely filled applications fulfilling the complete criteria shall be accepted. Any communication shall be made through CTS & ESD websites.
