Organization Overview

Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat is a statutory organization, established under “Establishment of the Office of Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Ordinance 2000” to diagnose’ investigate, redress and rectify any injustice done to a person thorough mal administration by functionaries administering tax laws.
To assist the Hon’ble FTO in discharging the functions of FTO Secretariat smoothly, applications are invited from qualified/competent candidates, in-line with the General Conditions/Instructions specified hereunder, against the following positions under Section 20 of the Establishment of the Office of FTO Ordinance 2000.

Position Details: Advisor

Number of Positions: 20
Placement: Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Mianwali, Abbottabad, Sukkur and Hyderabad.
Minimum Qualification, Experience:

• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum 25 years’ experience of handling Customs/Income Tax/Sales Tax & Federal Excise cases in Government/Semi Government organization.

General Conditions/Instructions

• Appointment shall be made without any salary under Section 20 of FTO Ordinance 2000, for a period of six months, further extendable on performance basis. However, on the basis of performance appraisal, FTO may consider grant of reward from time to time under Section 26 (2) of the FTO Ordinance 2000, on exceptional services rendered or valuable assistance given to the Federal Tax Ombudsman in carrying out his functions.
• Number of positions can be increased/decreased, as per requirement.
