Job Overview

PPCBL is inviting applications for the position of Unit Manager - Statutory Accounts from energetic and challenge-oriented professionals.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Minimum 14 years education from a HEC-recognized / foreign institution. Master's degree in Accounting, Business & Finance, C.A or ACCA will be an advantage
Experience: Minimum 03 years of relevant or banking experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of annual and interim financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable IFRS standards including financial instruments, impairment (ECL), revenue recognition, leases, and disclosures.
• Manage financial statement disclosures, notes to accounts, and related working papers.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors for audit and resolve audit queries in a timely manner.
• Ensure implementation of new and revised IFRS standards and assess their financial impact.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports for senior management and the Board.
• Ensure compliance of audit observations (SBP, internal Audit & External Audit)
• Review reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with periodic cut-offs and timely closure of accounting periods in ERP system.
