Job Overview

The Provincial Security Unit (PSU) of the Home Department, Government of Sindh, is recruiting a Technology and Data Analyst / Data Scientist. This is a contractual position based in Karachi for an initial two-year term, with the possibility of extension. The role involves applying advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to enhance security measures.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Working with information systems, big data analytics, and digital forensics.
• Developing and maintaining security platforms and tools for security purposes.
• Utilizing data processing tools, machine learning, AI, and recognized analytical methods within the big data sector.
• Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights relevant to security.
• Providing technical expertise and support for data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree from an HEC-recognized national or international university in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in information systems, big data analytics, or digital forensics.
• Practical experience in developing security platforms and tools for security objectives.
• Strong knowledge of data processing tools, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and established analytical methodologies in the big data domain.
