Introduction

The Pakistan Army is recruiting dedicated and physically fit individuals for the role of Sipahi (Soldier) across various trades. Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants for the Sipahi position must be Pakistani nationals. Generally, candidates should be unmarried, though exceptions are made for retired military personnel seeking re-employment. Educational requirements vary significantly based on the specific trade:

• General Duty Sipahi: Minimum Matriculation (SSC), with preference given to those with higher qualifications.
• Clerk/Storeman: Intermediate (FA/FSc) with a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English and 20 words per minute in Urdu, along with basic computer literacy.
• Cook/Driver: Minimum Matriculation. Drivers must also possess a valid driving license.
• Military Police: Minimum Matriculation, with preference for higher education.
• Sanitary Worker: Must be literate (able to read and write).

Physical height requirements also differ by trade:

• General Duty Sipahi, Clerk/Storeman, Cook/Driver: Minimum 162.5 cm (5 feet 4 inches).
• Military Police: Minimum 173 cm (5 feet 8 inches).
• Sanitary Worker: Minimum 160 cm (5 feet 3 inches).

Age Limit and Relaxations

As of November 1, 2025, the age limits for Sipahi applicants are:

• For General Duty Sipahi, Clerk/Storeman, Cook/Driver, Military Police: 17.5 to 23 years.
• For Sanitary Worker: 17.5 to 35 years.
• Retired military personnel can apply up to 45 years of age, provided they have a minimum of 16 years of service.

Age relaxations are also available for specific categories:

• One year age relaxation for candidates holding a computer diploma.
• Relaxations are provided for candidates from Balochistan and erstwhile FATA regions.
• Sons of retired military personnel and sons of civilian employees of the Army are eligible for a two-year age relaxation.
• Candidates from Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Northern Areas also receive a two-year age relaxation.

Application Method and Selection Process

Prospective Sipahi candidates must complete their online registration between September 1 and November 23, 2025. The official portal for registration is www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Applicants also have the option to visit any designated Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RC) during the specified registration period for assistance or direct application. The selection process is comprehensive and includes several critical stages: initial physical tests to evaluate endurance and strength, thorough medical examinations to ensure health and fitness standards, a written examination to assess general knowledge and aptitude, and a final interview to determine overall suitability and commitment to military service. Candidates who successfully clear these stages will then proceed to further training and induction into the Pakistan Army.
