Program Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Oncology & Radiotherapy Institute (NORI), a tertiary care Atomic Energy Cancer Hospital in Islamabad, invites applications for its four-year Residency Program (FCPS-II). Recognized by the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CP&SP), this program is designed to train young doctors in highly specialized medical fields. The training is offered in the following disciplines:
  • Radiation Oncology
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Diagnostic Radiology
  • Hematology
  • Histopathology
The program is based at NORI Hospital, Islamabad, with opportunities for elective rotations at other leading hospitals.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this residency program:
  • Education: MBBS with all examinations passed in the First Division.
  • Experience: A mandatory one-year house job.
  • Post-Graduate Qualification: FCPS Part-I must be cleared in the relevant disciplines:
    • For Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine & Radiology: FCPS Part-I in Diagnostic Radiology / Surgery & Allied / Medicine.
    • For Hematology & Histopathology: FCPS Part-I in Pathology.
  • Skills: Computer literacy and good communication skills are essential.
  • For Departmental Candidates: Must apply through the proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Stipend and Application Details

A monthly stipend of Rs. 104,390/- will be provided to the selected residents as per the institute's policy. Applicants are instructed to apply for only ONE specialty. This is a highly competitive program aimed at fostering the next generation of medical specialists.
