Job Description

Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages, Jamshoro, is inviting applications for the senior administrative position of Registrar (BPS-20). The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative, academic, and legal affairs of the university. This is a key leadership role that requires a professional who is well-versed in university rules and regulations and can contribute effectively to the institution's governance and development. This position is offered on a contractual and tenure basis for a period of three years.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate for the Registrar position must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Master's degree (18 Years), preferably in the first class, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: A minimum of 17 years of administrative experience in posts equivalent to BPS-17 and above at the university level.
• Skills: Must be thoroughly conversant with university Rules & Regulations.
• Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years.

General Terms and Conditions

• The initial appointment will be on a purely contractual and tenure basis for a period of 3 years.
• Candidates must have a domicile of Sindh province.
• Applicants currently serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a test/interview.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.
• The University reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withdraw any advertised position(s) without assigning any reason.

2. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 5000/- must be paid via a bank challan, which should be submitted along with the application.
3. The application package must include attested photocopies of all relevant documents, including educational certificates, professional qualifications, experience certificates, and the paid challan.
4. If applying for more than one post, a separate application form and challan are required for each post.
5. The envelope containing the application should be clearly marked with the name of the post applied for.
6. Applications must be sent via courier to the following address before the deadline: The In-charge HR, Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritages, Jamshoro, near the Old East Toll Plaza, M-9 Motorway, Jamshoro.
7. The deadline for submitting applications is 31st July 2025. Applications received after this date or submitted by hand will not be considered.
