Job Overview

Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has announced an opening for the position of Registrar (PEC-21) on a selection/tenure post basis. This is a senior-level administrative leadership role located at PEC HQ, Islamabad. The initial tenure is for three years, which is extendable with the approval of the Chairman PEC based on satisfactory performance and recommendation of the Selection Board.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following qualifications and experience requirements:

• Qualification: B.Sc. Engineering and registered with the Council as 'Professional Engineer', with required computer literacy.
• Experience: Minimum 22 years' experience in BPS-17 or equivalent, out of which 05 years should be in an independent managerial position equivalent to BPS-20. Experience of Office Management, dealing with Government Department, National/Multinational/Public/Private Sector Organizations is essential.
• Age Limit: Up to 57 Years. Age limit shall be calculated as per closing date of advertisement.

Skills and Competencies

Persons should have excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skill and should possess a pleasant and extrovert personality. Working experience with national or international professional or regulatory bodies will be given preference. Exposure of legal processes and procedures will be an added advantage. The candidate should preferably have trainings and short courses on Leadership, Time Management, Change Management, Stress Management, Coaching etc. Essential knowledge of PEC Act and Bye-laws. The candidate should preferably possess a high level of strategic vision, exceptional administrative acumen, institutional governance expertise, sound national-level decision-making capability, and demonstrated excellence of senior administrative leadership and management.
