Procurement Specialist

Job Overview

The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) BWSPIP Component B invites eligible candidates for the position of Procurement Specialist. This role requires extensive expertise in procurement, contract management, and supply chain management. Candidates with professional qualifications or certifications such as CIPS will be preferred.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Master's Degree (sixteen years of education) in Engineering, Business, Economics, or Commerce. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience after acquiring the stipulated qualification in procurement and contract management is required. At least five years of this experience must be related to procurement of Goods, Works and Consulting Services, preferably in the development sector.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Extensive knowledge of national procurement rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in English and basic IT skills.
• Strong communication skills and persuasiveness in presenting, negotiating, and resolving complex issues.
