About the Role: Processing Officer – Asset Restructuring Wing

The Processing Officer – Asset Restructuring Wing plays a pivotal role within the Special Assets Management department. This position involves direct support to the supervisor in the development and implementation of strategies for the remedial management of non-performing portfolios. You will be responsible for preparing detailed proposals for out-of-court settlements, rehabilitation, and restructuring, ensuring all actions align with the bank's policies and State Bank of Pakistan’s regulations. This is a critical function aimed at maintaining the financial health and integrity of the bank’s assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will undertake a range of responsibilities that are central to the effective operation of the Asset Restructuring Wing. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting the supervisor in developing and implementing strategies for the remedial management of non-performing portfolios of the Bank.
• Preparing comprehensive proposals for out-of-court settlements, rehabilitation, restructuring, and rescheduling for approval by management.
• Ensuring the meticulous implementation of approved rescheduling and restructuring plans in strict accordance with the Bank’s policy and State Bank of Pakistan’s regulations.
• Supporting the supervisor in conducting thorough financial reviews of tagged accounts to identify relevant risks and opportunities, thereby aiding in informed credit decision-making.
• Coordinating with respective heads to make client calls and maintain accurate call plans/logs, ensuring an auditable trail for all communications.
• Preparing various Management Information System (MIS) reports pertinent to the assigned portfolio to facilitate data-driven decisions.
• Assisting the supervisor in ensuring complete compliance with all external regulatory requirements (e.g., State Bank of Pakistan’s Prudential Regulations) and internal policies (e.g., credit policies).
• Performing any other assignments as directed by the supervisor, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Processing Officer – Asset Restructuring Wing position, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

• Educational/Professional Qualification: A minimum of a Graduation degree or an equivalent qualification from a local or international university, college, or institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is mandatory. Candidates holding a Master’s Degree or any other relevant professional qualification will be given preference, demonstrating a higher level of academic and professional preparedness.
• Experience: Applicants must possess a minimum of one (01) year of banking experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Corporate or Commercial Recovery, Corporate or Commercial Credit Risk Management, or Corporate or Commercial Business. Experience in managing relevant litigation will also be considered a significant advantage.
• Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required: Proficient knowledge of Corporate/Commercial Banking processes and a strong awareness of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Prudential Regulations are essential. Candidates must exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, enabling effective interaction and problem-solving. Being an effective team player is crucial for collaborative success. Furthermore, service-oriented proficiency in MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required, along with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Employment Terms

This position is offered on a contractual basis for a period of three years. The contract may be renewed at the discretion of the Management, based on performance and organizational needs.
