South City Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd., one of the most modern tertiary care hospitals in Karachi, is seeking a skilled and dedicated OT Technician to join its Operation Theatre team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating theatre, assisting the surgical team, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff in all types of surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper sterilization, handling, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain OT inventory and ensure the availability of surgical supplies.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
- Assist in patient positioning and transfer before and after surgery.
Qualification and Requirements
- Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology from a recognized institute.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in an Operation Theatre at a reputable tertiary care hospital.
- Hands-on experience in all major surgical procedures and specialties.
- Excellent knowledge of surgical instruments, OT equipment, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention practices.
- Familiarity with OT documentation, instrument handling, and surgical protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work evening shifts, weekends, and emergency cases as required.
