SIOVS is inviting applications for the position of Ophthalmologist. This is a non-teaching position offered on a purely contractual basis. The Ophthalmologist will primarily be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical eye care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye conditions and diseases. This includes outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, and emergency eye care, ensuring high standards of patient safety and clinical outcomes. The role requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.Qualifications and Experience
The specific educational qualifications and clinical experience for the position of Ophthalmologist must strictly adhere to the standards prescribed by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) / Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). Generally, this entails an MBBS degree, followed by a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (e.g., FCPS/MS/MD) from a recognized institution.
