Job Overview

CBD Punjab is looking for an Officer-II (GIS) to join our specialized GIS department. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Space Science, GIS, Geo-Informatics, Geometrics, or a related field. This position focuses on field data collection, creation of thematic maps, and preparation of base maps using CAD/GIS software, contributing to our urban planning and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting field data for GIS applications.
• Creating thematic maps for various analytical purposes.
• Preparing and updating base maps in CAD/GIS environments.
• Managing and maintaining GIS databases.
• Providing GIS support to other departments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's/BSc/MSc in Space Science/GIS/Geo-Informatics/Geometrics or in a related field.
• Minimum Experience: 6 months in GIS data collection and mapping.
• Required Skills: Adequate knowledge of field data collection, creation of thematic maps, and preparation of base maps in CAD/GIS Environment. Proficiency in GIS software.

8. Candidate already serving in Govt/Semi Govt Departments shall apply through proper channel and submit NOC from their respective departments along with the application. Their selection will be done as per defined rules and regulations of CBDDA.
9. Age relaxation of up to five (05) years for upper age limit for Retired Government/Military personnel will be allowed as per Human Resource Regulations.
10. Minimum and Maximum age limit will be as per the Labor Laws and applicable Government Regulations.
11. Candidates with experience in relevant field will be considered.
