Network and System Manager

Role Overview

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi is looking for a skilled Network and System Manager on a contractual basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the operations of ICT and Computer Networks, system administration, and handling security appliances like firewalls and UMT. This is a senior role requiring proficiency in various open-source technologies and management tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants for the Network and System Manager position must meet the following criteria:

• Education: MS/ME degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, Engineering Communication Systems, or Software Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in a leading multinational or national organization.
• Certifications: Certifications in Linux, Microsoft, CCNA, MCSA, or MCSE are preferred. Certification in Server+, MCSE, or RHCE will be an advantage.
• Skills: Must be proficient in Open-source Technologies including OpenStack and LINUX, Cloud OS, and machine resource management tools.
