Middle Management Position - Environmental Social Governance (Esg)

Company Overview

Our client, a reputable company based in Karachi, Sindh, is looking to appoint an experienced professional for a key Middle Management role focused on Environmental Social Governance (ESG). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to the company's sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of ESG-related activities, including:

• Owning the end-to-end process of PSOs ESG data collection, conducting administrative oversight of ESG Data, training new users, identifying and implementing enhancements to the platform.
• Collaborating closely with data owners across various departments, facilities, regions, and functions to establish robust data collection functionality and data verification/assurance capabilities.
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate internal controls, governance, policies, and procedures to ensure high integrity and auditable outputs.
• Performing analyses and creating dashboards and reports for senior management, brands, regions, and functions (tracking performance vs. goals, progress, scenario planning, etc.).
• Preparing data, metrics, and qualitative information for use in responding to external ESG Ratings and Rankings organizations.
• Contributing to the annual data collection and verification process for the PSOs ESG report.
• Reporting into the DGM ESG and managing a team of data analysts (handling direct and indirect reports).
• Conducting and overseeing energy audits, analyzing consumption patterns, and recommending efficiency improvements.
• Developing and enforcing energy efficiency standards, ensuring alignment with regulations and best practices.
• Identifying, implementing, and monitoring energy-saving measures and operational enhancements.
• Tracking energy performance, generating reports, and providing insights for decision-making.
• Promoting energy awareness, conducting training, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Researching and integrating advanced energy management solutions to optimize efficiency.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 16 years of education in the fields of Environment and/or Electrical discipline. A Master's degree in these fields or Management Sciences from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution, or an equivalent foreign degree, is preferred. A combination of these disciplines is also acceptable.

Experience Required

A minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience is required, preferably gained within a large national or multinational organization. Crucially, candidates must have at least 2-6 years of related functional experience in a similar ESG or related role at an equivalent position.

Age Limit

The candidate should preferably be not more than 40 years of age as of the last date of application submission.
