Role Overview

Two contract positions for Microbiologist/Virologist are available at the National Institute of Health, Islamabad, under the Public Health Laboratories Network (PHLN) employment initiative. This senior role involves leading and conducting advanced microbiological and virological testing, research, and diagnostics at the national level.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Candidates must possess an MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC.
Postgraduate: A postgraduate qualification (FCPS/M.Phil/Ph.D.) in Microbiology or Virology, recognized by PMDC/HEC, is mandatory.
Experience: A significant 10 to 15 years of relevant experience after completing the postgraduate qualification is required. Experience in planning laboratory activities or research projects will be preferred.

Age Limit and Pay Scale

Applicants should be between 35 and 45 years old. This high-level position corresponds to Project Pay Scale (PPS) 9.
