Position Overview

Lady Reading Hospital Medical Teaching Institution, a leading healthcare facility in Peshawar, Pakistan, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the hospital's functions, driving clinical excellence, and contributing to the strategic development of clinical services. This is a leadership role that requires a strong background in clinical care and hospital management.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Medical Director position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A Medical degree.
• A demonstrable record of excellence in clinical care.
• At least three years of experience in leading a major hospital clinical unit in any clinical discipline.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Director will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Ensuring clinical excellence across all aspects of hospital operations.
• Auditing clinical practice to maintain high standards of care.
• Developing new and innovative clinical programs.
• Developing and managing the annual clinical budget.
• Reporting directly to the Board of Governors.

The position also permits approximately 20% of time for scholarly activities or clinical practice in the appropriate specialty. The Medical Director will receive a faculty appointment at the appropriate level.
