About the Role

The Manager (Procurement) will be an integral part of the Project Management Unit (PMU) established for the Punjab Development Program. This role is critical for ensuring efficient and transparent acquisition of all necessary works, goods, and services for the project, which focuses on enhancing urban infrastructure, specifically sewerage and storm water drainage systems, in 8 cities across Punjab. The individual will be responsible for managing the entire procurement cycle from planning to contract closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust procurement strategies and plans in line with project requirements and government regulations.
  • Manage comprehensive tender processes, meticulous contract negotiations, and transparent vendor selections for various project components.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere strictly to ethical standards, promote transparency, and achieve cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the timely delivery and quality assurance of procured works, goods, and services, ensuring they meet project specifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities and provide regular, detailed reports to the Project Director for informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 16 years of education (Bachelor's or Master's degree equivalent) in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or Project Management from a recognized institution is required. Applicants must have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience directly related to the procurement of works, goods, and services. The maximum age limit for this position is 55 years, ensuring a blend of experience and dynamism for the role.
