About the Role

The Manager (Contracts) will be a crucial member of the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Punjab Development Program, a large-scale initiative focused on improving urban infrastructure in 8 cities across Punjab. This position involves comprehensive management of all contractual agreements, ensuring legal compliance, effective risk mitigation, and efficient project execution. The role demands strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of contract law and project management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, meticulously review, negotiate, and manage all project-related contracts with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all contractual terms and conditions are met diligently by all parties involved, maintaining project integrity.
  • Provide expert advice on contract interpretation, facilitate effective dispute resolution, and manage claims efficiently.
  • Monitor contract performance closely and ensure continuous compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, systematic, and organized contract records and comprehensive documentation for audit and reference purposes.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold 16 years of education (equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, or Law from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant sector, particularly in contract management, is essential. The maximum age limit for this position is 55 years, making it suitable for experienced professionals.
