About the 'M' Cadet Scheme
The 'M' Cadet scheme is a unique program designed for 4th or Final Year MBBS students of PMC/PMDC recognized medical colleges. Upon selection, candidates are enrolled as 'M' Cadets and continue their medical education at their respective colleges while receiving a monthly stipend from the Pakistan Army. After successfully completing their medical degree and a subsequent 22-week Basic Military Training (BMT) at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Abbottabad, they are commissioned into the Army Medical Corps as Captains.Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following strict eligibility conditions to apply:- Age: 20 to 26 Years (as of 1 June 2025).
- Gender: Male.
- Marital Status: Unmarried.
- Nationality: Citizen of Pakistan, or domicile holder of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit Baltistan. Candidates with dual nationality must surrender their non-Pakistani nationality upon final selection.
- Education: Must be a student in the 4th or Final year of MBBS at a PMC/PMDC recognized medical college.
- Physical Standards: Minimum height of 5' 4' (162.5cm) and weight as per the Body Mass Index (BMI).
Registration and Selection Process
The selection process is multi-staged and begins with registration. Candidates can register through two methods:1. Online Registration:
Register online at the official Pakistan Army recruitment website: www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
Registration Period: 29 June 2025 to 15 July 2025.
2. In-Person Registration at AS&RCs:
Candidates can also register by visiting their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC). AS&RCs are located in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan, Hyderabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Faisalabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Khuzdar, Pano Aqil, and Turbat.
Required Documents for Registration:
- Two attested photocopies of educational and domicile certificates.
- Two attested photocopies of CNIC or Form B issued by NADRA.
- Four attested passport-size photographs.
- An original bank deposit slip of Rs. 1500/- deposited in the specified Askari Bank account for the Medical Directorate GHQ.
Tests will include intelligence, personality, physical, and initial medical examinations conducted at the AS&RCs.
Physical Fitness Test
Candidates must pass the following physical tests:- 1.6 KM Run: 8 1/2 minutes
- Push-Ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
- Sit-Ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
- Chin-Ups: 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
- Ditch Crossing: 7'4' x 7'4' with a depth of 4 feet
Stipend and Service Bond
Selected 'M' Cadets will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 18,583/- during their studies. After being commissioned as Captains, they will be entitled to a lump sum amount not exceeding Rs. 222,996 per annum as reimbursement for previous educational expenses. Finally selected candidates are required to sign a bond to serve the Army Medical Corps for a minimum period of six years after passing their MBBS.Submit Application
