Job Overview

Applications are invited for the posts of Junior Technician Surgical (BPS-09) by the Office of the District Health Officer, Jhelum Valley, Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. These positions are for permanent residents of District Jhelum Valley. Vacancies are available at Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Chakar (03 posts), Basic Health Unit Bani Hafiz (01 post), Basic Health Unit Palot (01 post), First Aid Post Gari Dopatta (01 post), First Aid Post Ghaziabad (01 post), First Aid Post Chanjal Pain (01 post), and First Aid Post Doba Sayedan (01 post).

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Technician Surgical will assist in surgical procedures, maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensure a sterile environment in operation theaters, and provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients under supervision.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualification: (i) Matric with Science (2nd Division). (ii) Two years diploma in the relevant field (Surgical Technology) from any recognized institute/Board of a provincial Government or Federal Authority or paramedical Institute Mirpur. OR One year diploma/certificate in the relevant field from any recognized institute/Board of a provincial Government or Federal Authority or paramedical Institute Mirpur with 03 years’ experience in any Govt. Hospital.
• Age Limit: 18 to 40 years.

Application Process

Eligible candidates, who are state subjects of AJK (Category A) and permanent residents of District Jhelum Valley (holding Domicile and PRC of District Jhelum Valley), should submit their applications on plain paper. The application must be accompanied by attested copies of educational certificates, CNIC, domicile, PRC, character certificate, and two recent passport-sized photographs. Applications should be sent to the Office of the District Health Officer, Jhelum Valley. Government employees must apply through the proper channel. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be considered. Condition #10 of the advertisement states that applications must be received at the District Health Officer's office within 15 days from an unspecified 'last date of submission'. Applicants are advised to submit their applications promptly. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview, for which no TA/DA will be paid. Original documents must be presented at the time of the interview.
