ITS Specialist

Job Overview

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), Government of Sindh, invites expressions of interest for the individual consultancy service of an ITS Specialist under the Karachi Mobility Project (Yellow Line BRT). Funding has been received from the World Bank, and a portion of this financing will be applied to eligible consultancy services.

Qualification Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Transport Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree holders will be given preference.

Experience Required

• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in ITS and BRT projects.
• Experience in planning, implementation, and commissioning of ITS systems.
• Experience in BRT operations and ticketing system activities.
• Familiarity with OCC, AVM, AFC, and Passenger Information Systems.
• Experience in coordination among consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Experience in projects financed by international financial institutions like the World Bank and ADB will be preferred.
