Infection Prevention Control Officer

Position Overview

The Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IPC program at Civil Hospital Makli. This includes managing infection prevention protocols, sterilization, waste management, and ensuring overall hospital hygiene to minimize healthcare-associated infections.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate for the IPC Officer role must have:

• Qualifications: BSc in Microbiology or a relevant field. An MPH, M.Phil, or PhD is preferred. Certification in IPC and Healthcare Waste Management (HCWM) is also desirable.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in infection prevention, sterilization, and waste management.
• Skills: Expertise in hospital hygiene, antimicrobial stewardship, outbreak control, and biohazard disposal. Strong leadership in policy implementation, staff training, and regulatory compliance is essential.
