Hardware Technician (BS-14)

Organization Overview

The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Government of the Punjab, invites applications for various positions to strengthen its operational capacity. These roles are offered on a contract basis with the potential for regularization.

Position: Hardware Technician (BS-14)

The Department is seeking two (02) qualified individuals for the role of Hardware Technician (BS-14). This position involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computer hardware and related peripherals within the department.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
i. M.I.T (2 Years) or B.Sc in Computer Science from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; OR
ii. Higher Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognized Board with a six-month computer diploma or certificate from a recognized institute; AND
iii. Two years' experience as a Hardware Technician in the public or private sector.

Age Limit

The age requirement for this position is 22 to 40 years. General age relaxation is applicable as per Government of the Punjab rules.

Terms and Conditions

• The position is offered on a contract basis for three years, likely to be regularized in the future under the recruitment policy 2022.
• Transgender individuals are encouraged to apply.
• Only candidates domiciled in Punjab are eligible.
• Vacancies are post-specific and non-transferable.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.
• Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous body employees must apply through the proper channel.
• Age calculated on the last date of application submission.
• Submission of fake documents will lead to disqualification.
• Only degrees from HEC-recognized institutions (or HEC equivalence for foreign degrees) will be considered.

Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview. The date and time will be communicated via email/call/SMS. Complete original documents, along with a set of attested photocopies, must be provided at the time of the interview. The Department reserves the right to increase/decrease vacancies or reject any application without assigning reasons. Final terms conform to contract policy 2004.
