Graduate Engineer (Electrical)

Job Overview

The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has an opening for a Graduate Engineer (Electrical). This role is crucial for the electrical engineering aspects of conservation and heritage preservation projects in Lahore and other cities across Punjab. The position is offered on a contract basis for one year.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage electrical engineering tasks related to preservation projects, ensuring compliance with engineering codes and utilizing relevant software for design and project management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• The degree must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications and more extensive relevant experience.

Skills Required

Essential skills include:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the latest engineering codes of practice.
• Preference for candidates with experience in computer software such as Primavera, Pert Master, Revit, etc.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates meeting the criteria should follow the application process outlined below:
i. Applications for Sr. # 1 to 7 are to be submitted through the Punjab Job Portal: www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk. Further job descriptions for every post are available on the Punjab Job Portal.
ii. The contract appointment is temporary in nature, non-transferable, non-pensionable, job/post specific, and confers no right for regularization. The contract appointment will be initially for 01 year, which can be extended or reduced by the competent authority.
iii. The offered salary against each post is on a lump-sum basis (including all allowances) with an annual increment according to Govt. of the Punjab notification (updated from time to time).
iv. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is required for government servants at the time of job application submission.
v. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated/called for a test/interview through call/e-mail etc.
vi. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the test/interview.
vii. WCLA reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel any advertised post(s).
viii. The application should be submitted by the last date: 05-06-2025.
