Job Overview

The GIS Mapping Officer (PPS-7) is responsible for utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related technologies for survey mapping projects. The role involves handling geospatial data, conducting analysis, and creating maps to support project objectives. Experience with drone surveys and related technologies is preferred. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of GIS principles and experience in the application of GIS in survey mapping.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 16 Years of Education Degree in MSc GIS, BE Geo-Informatics, MS Geomatics.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in GIS along with experience with handling Drone Surveys will be preferred.

The age limit for this position is between 25-35 years. For males +5 years and for females +8 years General age relaxation in the upper age limit at the date of advertisement as per Govt. of Punjab, S&GAD Notification No. SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 08-08-2016.

Applications must include attested photocopies of CNIC, Domicile, Academics, and Experience Certificates and should be directed to the office of 'Project Director, office of Directorate General of Mines & Minerals, Lahore' in Poonch House until April 18, 2025 during office hours. The name of the post should be mentioned clearly on both the application and envelope. For multiple posts, submit separate applications. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview. Shortlisted candidates must bring original documents at the time of the interview along with copies of submitted documents.
