Qualifications and Experience

Prospective candidates for the General Manager Technical & Operations position must meet rigorous academic and professional experience requirements. The minimum qualification and experience criteria are as follows:

• A Ph.D. in Geology or an equivalent relevant discipline, coupled with a minimum of 12 years of pertinent experience.
• Alternatively, an M.Sc. in Geology or an equivalent relevant discipline, with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates holding a B.Sc. in Geology or an equivalent relevant discipline, must possess a minimum of 17 years of relevant experience.

The maximum age limit for applicants is 57 years. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in metallic mineral exploration, demonstrating a specialized skill set crucial for the company's objectives.

Core Job Requirements

The General Manager Technical & Operations will be responsible for a wide array of duties crucial to PMC's mandate. Key requirements include:

• Demonstrating substantial and relevant work experience in Mineral Exploration and Mining, with a strong preference for individuals who have served at a senior level within both government and/or private sectors.
• Possessing essential experience in various facets of Mineral Exploration/Mining, including proficiency in Topography Survey, Geological Mapping/Survey, Geophysical Survey, Geochemical studies, 3D Modelling, data interpretation, drilling operations, Resource Estimation, and comprehensive report writing pertaining to Mineral Projects.
• Exhibiting excellent communication and social skills, enabling effective interaction across a broad spectrum of nationalities and cultures, essential for managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Having a proven ability to strategically manage, plan, and efficiently execute Mineral Exploration/Mining Projects of a diversified nature, ensuring successful project delivery and resource maximization.
