The Forest Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently inviting applications for the role of Forest Guard, a significant position under Basic Pay Scale (BPS) 08. A total of 11 Forest Guard positions are open. These include 7 positions under open merit, distributed across Peshawar, Mardan, Khyber, Mohmand, and Bajaur. Additionally, there are 4 positions under a specific quota, with one post allocated to each of the Khyber, Mardan, Mohmand, and Bajaur Forest Divisions. This distribution ensures representation and opportunities for candidates from various areas within the province.Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Forest Guard position, applicants must meet stringent criteria. Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years of age. Educationally, an Intermediate degree (Science) from a recognized board is mandatory. Furthermore, candidates must possess a one-year Forestry Diploma from the Pakistan Forest Institute Peshawar. Candidates lacking this specialized diploma will unfortunately not be eligible for these roles. Physical fitness is also paramount, requiring a minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches and a chest measurement of 32-34 inches. Application Process
Interested candidates must apply online through the ETEA website, www.etea.edu.pk. The application process begins with creating a personal profile on the ETEA portal. Before creating your profile, you are required to deposit the application fee using NADRA E-Sahulat kiosk. It is crucial to print the fee deposit slip and retain the original along with copies of your relevant documents. The online application form will be accessible from August 5, 2026, and the final deadline for submitting your application is August 25, 2026. Please note that incomplete or late applications will not be entertained. Shortlisted candidates will receive an SMS notification for the interview. The roll number slips, bearing the test date, time, and venue, can be downloaded directly from the ETEA website; no separate call letters will be issued. Furthermore, all selected candidates will be required to present a Police Clearance Certificate. Original degrees verified by the relevant board/university must be submitted within three months of joining, and any fraudulent certificates will result in disqualification and legal action. For non-gazetted degrees, a verification certificate from HEC is compulsory.Key Conditions
Applicants must ensure their mobile numbers remain active as all communication, including interview notifications, will be via SMS. The department reserves the right to adjust the number of posts or reject any application without providing a reason. Age relaxation will be granted in accordance with existing government policies. No Travel Allowance or Daily Allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for attending the test or interview. Selected candidates will be required to undergo mandatory training at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forest School in Abbottabad.
