Introduction to University of the Punjab

The University of the Punjab is a prestigious public sector university located in Lahore, Pakistan, known for its significant contributions to education and research. Position Specifics: Cook

This advertisement is for one (01) position of Cook. The selected individual will be responsible for preparing meals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food quality and hygiene within the University's designated facilities.

Eligibility Criteria for Cook

Applicants for the Cook position must be literate. This implies that candidates should possess basic reading and writing skills necessary to understand recipes, safety instructions, and other relevant kitchen documentation.

Terms & Conditions of Employment

It is important to note that the advertised posts are purely on a Daily Wages/Contingent Basis. This means that the hired or selected candidates/staff on a daily wages/contigent basis shall not acquire any right to regular appointment, nor shall such appointments be regularized under any circumstances. Furthermore, they will not have any right to initiate a case in any Court of Law for their hiring/continuation/firing/regularization or any other reason related to their engagement or termination under any circumstances.

In addition to the online submission, applicants are required to send hard copies of their completed online application form. These hard copies, bearing the applicant’s signature, must be accompanied by attested copies of all degrees/certificates, CNIC, testimonials, experience certificates, and a recent 1x1 photograph. These documents should be dispatched through registered post/courier service to reach the office of the Registrar (Administration Branch-II, Admin Block, Room No. 33), University of the Punjab Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore, during office hours. The submission start date for all posts was May 15, 2025. The closing date for applications is June 16, 2025. Please note that the online application portal will close precisely at 4:00 PM on the closing date. Applications received by hand will not be accepted, and no extra time will be granted for postal transit. All educational and experience certificates will undergo verification during the shortlisting process. If any document is found to be fake or unverified, the candidate will be disqualified and legal action will be initiated as per law. Candidates must also be in good standing with their previous employers. Only short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews, and the University reserves the right to cancel or re-advertise any position without assigning any reason. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in interviews.
