Job Overview

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is looking for a skilled and dedicated Consultant (Legal Affairs) to join its esteemed legal team. This crucial role involves providing expert legal advice and representation on a wide range of issues, particularly those pertaining to telecom, corporate, and civil laws. The consultant will also be responsible for liaising with national and international legal entities, ensuring compliance and effective legal strategy.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education and Experience (Option 1): Candidates must possess an LL.M. degree (minimum 2nd Division) and have at least 3 years of experience as an Advocate of the High Court.
• Education and Experience (Option 2): Alternatively, candidates with an LL.B. degree (minimum 2nd Division) and 5 years of experience as an Advocate of the High Court are eligible to apply.
• Additional Experience: Both options require demonstrated experience in handling legal matters related to telecom laws, corporate law, and civil law. Experience working as a legal consultant with national and international organizations is highly valued. Furthermore, specific experience directly related to telecom laws is a significant advantage.

Remuneration and Benefits

This position offers a competitive monthly remuneration package in line with current market rates, acknowledging the specialized expertise required for this role. All applicable taxes will be deducted as per government regulations. The role is offered on a contractual basis, initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and the Authority's ongoing needs.

Age Limit

The maximum age for applicants is 40 years at the time of application. This criterion is set to ensure a balanced and experienced workforce within the Authority.
