Job Opportunity

The office of the District Food Controller, Jhang, invites applications from suitable candidates for temporary engagement as Chowkidars (Watchmen) at various centers within District Jhang. This engagement is purely temporary, on a daily wage basis (contingent paid staff), for a period of 89 days.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to apply should meet the following criteria:

• Must be literate (خواندہ).
• Must be healthy (تندرست).
• Must possess a domicile certificate of District Jhang.
• Must have a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous relevant experience.
• Preference will be given to residents of the concerned Tehsil or Markaz.

Terms and Conditions

Please note the following terms for this engagement:

• This is a daily wage position and does not confer any right to permanent government employment.
• Appointment orders will be issued strictly for 89 days.
• Appointments are made under U.O No. F & C (Food) 1-10/2010 dated 24-03-2015.
• The engagement can be terminated at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason.
• The appointment orders cannot be challenged in any court of law.
• No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided for attending the interview.

Interested candidates must submit their applications along with the following documents:

• Two recent passport-size photographs.
• Copy of Domicile Certificate.
• Copy of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).

Applications should be submitted to the Office of the District Food Controller, Jhang during office hours.

Important Dates:

• Last date for submission of applications: 24 April, 2025. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
• Scrutiny of received applications: 25 April, 2025.
• Interviews for eligible candidates: 28 April, 2025 at the Commissioner's Office, Jhang.
• Display of successful candidates list: 30 April, 2025 at the office of the District Food Controller, Jhang.
