Chief Coordination Officer (BPS-19)

Job Overview

The Home Department, Government of Balochistan, invites applications for the position of Chief Coordination Officer (BPS-19) on a special pay package. The officer will be instrumental in establishing the Balochistan Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism (CoE-CVE). This is an individual consultant procurement for a contractual period of two years, which may be extended.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:
At least first class Ph.D. in Social Sciences AND Master's Degree in Education or Law from a recognized University with at least four years of service in a relevant field.

Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in countering violent extremism, counter-terrorism, or counter-terrorist financing at the provincial or federal government level. Extensive expertise in strategic planning, and project management, and a strong grasp of socio-political factors driving violent extremism.

Research:
Demonstrated experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research on violent extremism, including analyzing socio-political drivers, assessing community vulnerabilities, and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention programs.

Age Limit:
40 to 50 years.

General Terms and Conditions of Appointment

The position is purely contractual, and under no circumstances shall the appointee claim a permanent appointment. The position is based at the Balochistan Center of Excellence. Government employees should apply through the proper channel. Shortlisted candidates will appear for an interview with the Search/Selection Committee and present their approach, methodology, and understanding of the task. The Competent Authority reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason. The Competent Authority also reserves the right to terminate the services of the officer any time without assigning any reason. In case the officer wishes to resign from the position voluntarily, he shall submit a written notice to the competent authority at least one month in advance. Additionally, the officer shall be required to deposit an amount equivalent to one month's salary at the time of submitting the resignation.
