Job Overview

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through its Health Department's Project Management and Implementation Unit (PMIU), is seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Bio-Medical Engineer (BPS-17). This vital role supports the Revamping of Non-Teaching DHQ Hospitals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The position is offered on a contractual basis for an initial period of one year, with potential for extension based on performance and project requirements. Successful candidates will be instrumental in the procurement and management of bio-medical equipment, contributing significantly to the region's healthcare system.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronic Engineering from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in the procurement or management of Bio-medical Equipment within the public or private sector is essential. Additionally, applicants must possess a valid license from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) to be considered for this role. This combination of academic background and practical experience ensures that the successful candidate is well-equipped to handle the technical and administrative demands of the position.

Terms and Conditions

Applicants must be eligible and bonafide residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the required domicile. The appointment is purely on a contract basis for one year, extendable as per government policy. A lump sum pay package will be offered where applicable. Candidates are encouraged to apply online via the ETEA website, ensuring all information is correct as incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected. Age relaxation will be admissible as per existing government rules. Candidates working in government, semi-government, or autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel. For those with foreign degrees, equivalent certificates from HEC are mandatory. The recruitment process will be governed by the latest provisions of the project policy of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are required to visit the official ETEA website at www.etea.edu.pk to submit their online application. After providing personal information, a prescribed online deposit slip will be generated, which includes a token number and project code. Applicants must print this slip and deposit the non-refundable test fee via Easy-Paisa, Jazz Cash App, or any UBL bank through UBL OMNI agents. It is crucial to retain the original deposit slip with the bank's stamp; candidates should not send any documents or testimonials to the ETEA office at this stage. Copies of testimonials will only be required from candidates who qualify for the screening test, as and when requested by ETEA or the appointing authority for scrutiny. The online application form will be available from 01 September, 2025, with the final submission deadline set for 20 September, 2025. Test dates, times, and venues will be communicated via Roll No. Slip, which candidates can download from www.etea.edu.pk after receiving an SMS notification. Please do not provide any posted or converted mobile numbers, and no separate call letters will be issued via postal or courier services for the screening test.
