The Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences, operating under the Government of the Punjab, Specialized Health Care & Medical Education Department, is actively seeking qualified individuals for the contract-based position of Bio-Medical Engineer. Eligibility and Qualification Requirements

Applicants for the Bio-Medical Engineer position must possess specific academic qualifications. Candidates should hold a B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering Technology from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Alternatively, a BS in Biomedical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university is also acceptable. Candidates with a B.Sc in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university are also eligible, provided they have a minimum of two years' experience in the field of Medical Equipment. All applicants must hold a domicile certificate of the Province of Punjab.

Age Limit and Relaxation Policy

The prescribed age limit for this position is 18 to 25 years. However, in accordance with the Government of the Punjab, S&GAD Notifications & Recruitment policy, 2022, age relaxation provisions will be applied. This includes a 10-year age relaxation for female candidates and a 7-year relaxation for male candidates, thereby extending the eligibility to a broader range of experienced professionals.

Application Method and Submission Deadline

Interested candidates are required to submit a comprehensive application package. This includes a hand-written application, a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), two attested passport-size photographs (affixed to the back of the application), and attested copies of all academic and professional certificates. Ensure that result cards, experience certificates, domicile certificate, and a copy of your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) are all attached. The complete application must be submitted to the office of the Project Management Unit (PMU), Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences, Lahore. The final date for application submission is September 15, 2025, and applications must be received during regular office hours. Candidates currently employed in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel, submitting their application with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments. It is mandatory to clearly mention the name of the post applied for on the front of the envelope.

Selection Process and General Terms

Applications that are incomplete or received after the stipulated closing date will not be entertained under any circumstances. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Applicants should note that no Traveling Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be provided for appearing in any test or interview. The decision made by the Selection Committee will be final and cannot be challenged in any court of law.
