Job Overview

Quaid-e-Azam University, a leading public university in Islamabad, Pakistan, is inviting applications for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Physics. This BPS-20 faculty role is designed for a highly skilled academician and researcher specializing in advanced experimental physics, particularly in the fields of Lasers and Optics. The successful candidate will be instrumental in teaching advanced courses, conducting cutting-edge research, and mentoring students in experimental physics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a PhD in Physics with a specialization in the field of Lasers and Optics (Experimental), with expertise in nonlinear optical properties, laser-based generation of highly charged ions, and Pulsed Laser Deposition of thin films. This PhD must be from an HEC recognized University or Institution. A minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience in an HEC recognized university/postgraduate institution or equivalent professional experience in a national or international organization is mandatory. Alternatively, candidates with 05 years of post-PhD teaching or research experience are also eligible. Candidates must also have at least 10 research publications, with a minimum of 4 published in HEC recognized journals within the last five years.
