Position Overview

The University of Poonch Rawalakot is inviting applications for the faculty position of Associate Professor in the field of Computer Sciences & IT. This is a regular position (BPS-20).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set forth by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the position of Associate Professor. The maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years.

Application Process

1. Obtain the application form either in person from the Office of the Registrar during office hours or download it from the University website: www.upr.edu.pk/downloads/category/job-application-forms.
2. Submit the completed application form along with attested copies of degrees, photos, result cards, transcripts, certificates, and five (5) sets of testimonials including publications.
3. Include the original bank deposit slip for the application processing fee of Rs. 4000/-. The fee challan is available at https://lms.upr.edu.pk/fees/challans and must be deposited at any HBL branch.
4. Applications can be submitted in person or sent by mail (General Post) to the Registrar.
5. The deadline for application submission is 20 May, 2025.

General Instructions

In-service candidates must apply through the proper channel to avail relaxation in the upper age limit.
Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalence certificate issued by the HEC.
Candidates must attach Marks Obtained / Total Marks Certificates for all degrees; CGPA alone is not acceptable unless converted using the UPR percentage formula.
Relevant experience must be supported by documentary proof.
Basic and terminal qualifications must be registered with the relevant Council/regulatory body (if applicable).
The terminal qualification must be in the relevant subject/field.
The University reserves the right to cancel the advertisement partially or totally.
Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
